2026 Budget Process
Effective May 1, 2025 In 2025, the Province announced that Strong Mayor Powers will be extended to 169 additional municipalities, including the Town of Greater Napanee.
The Town of Greater Napanee will begin the 2026 budget process in the Fall of 2025, with approval expected prior to the end of 2025. Council will be holding a number of special meetings to receive the proposed budget and make amendments, within the framework of Part VI.1 of the Municipal Act, 2001 and Ontario Regulation 50/22. Meeting information and reports will be posted on this page before and after each session.
The Annual Operating Budget provides funding for services including governance, police and fire protection, road and existing infrastructure maintenance, parks, recreation and cultural services, and planning and economic development services.
The Annual Capital Budget provides funding for investments in key strategic priorities for the Town's future and covers costs of constructing and renewing buildings, roads, parks, and equipment replacement.
